A New Approach to EvangelismWe have a great challege before us. There is a need to challenge believers to build bridges of relationships with people who are in their world, to learn methods of how to notice the people who God has put in their world; to discover the tools of how to live the Great Commission within the context of how God has created them. Bill Fay, author of Share Jesus Without Fear, has stated that only "two percent of believers in our churches share their faith in a year." Others have estimated that only ten percent of those who sit in our churches on Sunday mornings have ever shared their faith with an unbeliever. DBEA has developed a strategy and a plan to help equip God's family in building bridges of relationships with the people in their world to bring them to Jesus Christ. Team Up to Reach Your Community...Evangelism is alive and well in America. Evangelistic meetings in our churches are a thing of the future, not a thing of the past. In the past it has been shown that when churches invite evangelists to lead evangelistic crusades or revivals there is a rise in people coming to Christ and in baptisms. Well-planned and well-prepared evangelistic events are right for the twenty-first century church. We encourage you to plan an evangelistic event for your church. Plan a four-day evangelistic event or a one-day evangelistic event in your church for the purpose of leading people to Jesus Christ. |
